Prince Sverre Magnus of Norway was born on 3 December 2005 as youngest child of Crown Prince Haakon & Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway {Source}. He has two older siblings{Source}:

The youngest child of Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit began attending kindergarten (similar to pre-school in the US) in 2007{Source}. In 2011, he began attending Jansløkka elementary school, where he attended until the 2013-2014 school year {Source}. In 2014, he began attending Oslo's private Montessori school {Source}


As he is not a King, Crown Prince or heir's heir (like his sister), he is not considered as a member of the Royal House, therefore is styled as His Highness Prince of Norway, rather than His Royal Highness{Source}.


Prince Magunus as he is known, was likely named:
  • Sverre: for Sverre of Norway, who ruled Norway from 1184-1102
  • Magnus: For seven previous Norwegian kings, and its also his father's middle name.


As a member of the Norwegian Crown Princely Family, Prince Sverre Magnus (or Magnus as his family calls him) has appeared at numerous royal events. He first attended Norway's National Day in2009, where the entire family appeared in tradition costume. Also in 2009 he attended the Norwegian Football Cup Final. In 2010, he attended the The World Cup Nordic And Ski Jumping, National Dayand Pinchcliffe Grand Prix. In 2011, he attended National Dayand the The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. So far, in 2012, he's attended theOpening of Global Shapers Oslo, National Day,celebrations marking his grandparent's 75th birthdays and various London 2012 Olympics events. In 2013, he attended the The FIS World Cup Nordic Holmenkollen, attended a winter photocall with his parents and sister, Norway's National Day celebrations, his parent's 40th birthday celebrations{more}, and posed for the official family photo for the holidays. In 2014, he attended Norway's National Day Celebrations, and posed fro the official family photo and attended the Save The Children's Peace Prize Festival. In 2015, he attended the Holmenkollen FIS World Cup Nordic, Norway's National Day celebrations, the Unveiling Of A Statue Of King Olav V, The Saint Olav Festival 2015, a memorial for the victims of the Paris attacks and playoff game between Germany and Norway, attended the Christmas photocall and the Save the Childrens Peace Prize party. In 2016, the young prince took part in the 25th anniversary succession celebration of his grandparents, the offcial opening of The Princess Ingrid Alexandra Sculpture Park, and Norway's National Day celebrations, took part in his grandparents' jubilee tour, and attended a garden party in honor of his grandparents' jubilee. In 2017, he took part in the celebration of his grandparents' 80th birthdays, Norway's National Day Celebrations, and his grandmother's official birthday celebrations.
